Taking Vitamins To Relieve Tinnitus

Following on from my last blog where I mentioned my history of hearing problems, I really believe that having grommets has caused tinnitus - especially in my right ear. Anyone that suffers with tinnitus will tell you that the loudest part of the day is in bed at night when all should be quiet. I have had grommets in my left ear twice and three times in my right ear. It's no coincidence that I suffer with rushing, cracking and popping sounds. Luckily, my left ear is fine. I have really suffered in the last few years with what sounds like a hurricane in my ear. It has got progressively worse as time has passed and the only positive has been that it isn't in both ears. My experience with this condition has made me understand that having a hearing impairment doesn't necessarily mean that you can't hear external noises, it's more that the internal noises of the ear are louder. Tinnitus is a difficult condition to understand because sometimes it's fine, other times it's unbearable and doctors will tell you that there is no cure. During the past couple of years I have explored many different avenues to find a cure. I am open to alternative therapies and often use meditation to try and focus my mind away from the disturbing sounds of my inner ear. I have considered Hypnotherapy and Past Life Regression to see if my issues are more deep routed. I haven't ruled these therapies out, nor have I ruled out spiritual healing, crystal therapy or colour therapy. There's a lot to be said for natural remedies. I often speak to a friend who owns a shop selling natural products who has cured many conditions which doctors have been unable to effectively treat. In my opinion pharmaceutical companies are not interested in curing conditions, they are more interested in managing conditions - with a lifetime of medication. Natural remedies are exactly that - natural, which means our bodies are more likely to accept and respond in a positive way. For the past month I have taken natural vitamins, not the vitamins from places like Holland & Barrett, as they are owned by guess who? Yes - pharmaceutical companies. Unfortunately these companies want to monopolise the market by having a toe in both ponds. I have done my research and taken advice from my friend from the shop. Unfortunately these companies want to monopolise the market by having a toe in both ponds. I have done my research and taken advice from my friend from the shop. The vitamins I take are: Vitamin A - Repairs nerve damage in the inner ear Zinc Picolinate - Increases blood flow and helps your body clear out toxins. Ginkgo Biloba drops - stimulates blood flow to the brain which helps ears and eyes. They are supplied by the Food Supplement Company (FSC) Since taking these vitamins I have noticed an improvement in my right ear. The tinnitus is still there but is less noticeable. It is still early days but if it continues to relieve my condition I will continue to take them. I am no expert in vitamins and I am not advising you to take what I take. These vitamins seem to help me but I would advise you to speak to an expert like I did prior embarking on this journey. Thanks for reading and see you next time. Please feel free to share your own experiences in the comments section. Richie
