Ear Candling Safety: Self Treating

How to Ear Candle Safely - Self Treating

During the time I have been involved in ear candles I have met several people who are intrigued about them. Many would like to try them but are apprehensive and feel they need to go to a practitioner or have someone do it for them. I am a practitioner myself so have decided to do a short guide.

Ensure that you have the following items immediately to hand:

Glass of water

Towel

Candle inserted into the protective disc

If you have straight hair, tie this back. Sit up straight and place a towel over your shoulder.

Light the candle on the tip and then insert the filtered end into your ear at a 45 degree angle. If possible do this whilst sat in front of a mirror or whilst using your selfie mode on your mobile phone to monitor the progress. Burn to the band indicated on the candle and then extinguish into your water.

Then unwrap the candle if you dare, but don’t despair, it’s ear care!

DO NOT USE EAR CANDLES ON YOURSELF OR OTHERS, IF YOU ARE TIRED OR SOZZLED
